  1. Why can't I log in? I'm using the same credentials I used to log into the traditional version of myMU.

    Your credentials have changed.  You can no longer use the same credentials you used to log into the traditional version of myMU.  To log into the new, enhanced version of myMU, you must use your MUNet username and password. 

  2. I don't know my MUNet username. How do I find it?

    If you don't know your MUNet username, you can acquire it by using the First-Time Users Utility located on the myMU login page, or by contacting the Marshall IT Service Desk at 304-696-3200.  This will be the same username used to access computers on Marshall's campus.

  3. I can't remember my password. How can I find it?

    You can reset a forgotten password by utilizing our Password Reset Tool located on the myMU login page or you can contact the Marshall IT Service Desk at (304)-696-3200. Remember that your password is case-sensitive.

  4. How can I access my e-mail from myMU?

    After logging into myMU, you can access your e-mail account by selecting the envelope icon () in the launchpad portion of the myMU home page.  The launchpad is located at the top of the QuickLaunch area, on the left-hand side of the page.

  5. Who can access myMU?

    Anyone with a valid MUNet username and password at Marshall University can access myMU.  We utilize roles (such as employee, student, faculty) to deliver customized content for each user.

  6. How can I check my account balance?

    In order to view your account balance (tuition, fes, etc.) simple log into myMU and select Registration from the QuickLaunch area on the left side of the page.  Now select Registration Fee Assessment from the list of options that appear.  Finally, select your desired semester to the right.

  7. How can I view my class schedule?

    To view your schedule of classes, you will locate the QuickLaunch area in the left-hand portion of the myMU home page, select Course Schedule and Grades, then select Detailed Schedule or Day & Time Schedule.

  8. How can I view my academic transcript?

    To view your academic transcript, navigate to the QuickLaunch area of myMU (located on the main page), select Student Account Information, then Academic Transcript.

  9. How can I view my class grades?

    To view your grades, locate the QuickLaunch area of myMU, located on the left side of the home page.  From here, select Course Schedule and Grades, then Final Grades.

  10. Can I access my MUOnline account from myMU?

    Yes. MUOnline (BlackBoard) can be accessed from the launchpad area of the QuickLaunch portion of myMU.  Just look for the MUOnline icon in the upper left-hand portion of the myMU home page.

  11. Why is Marshall changing myMU?

    We chose to implement a newer version of myMU for several reasons.  The most obvious is the refreshed look and feel when compared to the traditional myMU.  This new version also offers the campus community much more flexibility and compatibility, better enabling us to connect you to other applications and areas of our campus community much more efficiently than before.  A major advantage of this is you will only need to log in once in order to gain access to many other services.  There are even more features in store for the future, too!

  12. What are communities?

    A community is a portion of myMU geared toward colloboration among individuals whom share a similiar interest (think of Facebook pages). Each community has the potential to offer features such as message boards, document libraries, news, announcements, and much more.

  13. How can I report problems or provide suggestions about myMU?

    To contact the administrators of myMU, simply select the Feedback button, located along the top of the myMU page. Here you can complete a short form detailing your experience.

  14. My professor posted content online but I can't find it.

    Your professor likely posted information such as a syllabus, PowerPoint, quiz, etc. in MUOnline.  MUOnline is different from myMU, but it's easy to access - simply log in to myMU and select the MUOnline icon in the launchpad area.  You can also access MUOnline by visiting muonline.marshall.edu .

  15. What browsers can be used to access myMU?

    Any modern web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc. can be used to access myMU.

  16. Do I need to be on Marshall's campus to access myMU?

    No - myMU can be accessed from any location on-campus or off that affords an Internet connection.
